About Me

My name is Amy Stockwell Mercer and I am a freelance writer living in Charleston, SC with my husband and two sons. My personal essays have been published in skirt! magazine, Literary Mama, Diabetes Forecast, A Cup of Comfort for Writers and the upcoming issue of Voices magazine. I am the Associate editor and columnist for The Writer Mama zine and the Blog Editor for Literary Mama. I am working on an anthology called, Dreaming About Water, a collection of personal essays and practical advice by and for women with diabetes. I write about the following topics:
