Related Experience:   

Literary Mama, 2005-present. Blog Editor. As the Blog Editor, I am in charge of researching, submitting and editing news worthy events, announcements, and classes related to motherhood on a daily basis. The blog is the most visited page on our website. 

Crazyhorse, January 2007-2008. As an editorial intern for the literary magazine at the College of Charleston, I was responsible for reading submissions, entering data, talent scouting, teaser writing and proofreading. 

South Carolina Writer’s Workshop, January 2007-2008. As the secretary for the SCWW, I attended meetings and took notes. As the high school contest chairperson, I marketed, organized mailings and selected judges. For the Carrie McCray literary awards, I found judges, received and organized submissions and worked with the conference chairperson to announce the winners at the annual conference. 

The Writer Mama, October 2007. As a columnist for The Writer Mama, I write self-care tips for writer mamas. As the Associate Editor, I have administrative responsibilities, orchestrating the contributing writers, and editing.

Bio:    

 As a freelance writer, my personal essays have been published in skirt! Magazine, Literary Mama, Mamazine, Diabetes Forecast and A Cup of Comfort for Writers. I am working on an anthology called, Dreaming About Water, a collection of personal essays and practical advice by and for women living with diabetes.
